Story of a Girl

Thanks to the job interview today, I had spent my time over past two days doing the homework, preparing myself before heading for the interview. Eventually, I screwed up much when the interviewer asked me about my current job scope. I was not ready for it. My tongue was twisted. Nevertheless, the rest of the interview, I did my research and 'rubbish' all the way through.

Right now, I should just wait for the call. If she really calls, I would be very much be glad.

Tomorrow, I would be uploading some photos from my recent little getaway to Amara Sanctuary Resort. Stay tune.

Hello people, from tomorrow to Sunday, I am heading to Sentosa. . . I would very much love to visit a spa session there, but it seems to be pricey for me to undergo one in Singapore. I thought there might have attractive promotions since there are Resort World Sentosa vying for attention. I guessed, they are there to suck my hard earned money =(

For day 1, I am thinking of enjoying our Courtyard Suite after we book in check in. There is another suite - Two Bedrooms Pool Villa available for booking. The latter is a villa where there is private swimming pool in it! A pity we didn't book it, on the other hand, we have to find another couple to join might not be easy. Lionel and I can have a good stroll around Amara or even Sentosa island (not forgetting the new Resort World) before taking our dinner!

As for day 2, I am going to try the gym facility available in Amara Sanctuary Resort where I would be staying for the rest of the getaway. I hope I can have a good time in the gym. Of course, I would very much like to indulge in breakfast. I guess I am a breakfast person than a supper person. Breakfast with loved ones is essential in a relationship, in my own opinion. There is a jacuzzi in the room's private garden leh! I am sooo gonna snap, snap and snap photos! Please stay tune!

What should I do on day 3?! Nevertheless, I hope this getaway would be fun and a pleasant trip. Oops, I have to pack my belongings for tomorrow's getaway now and have a good night sleep! Nightie~

Last night had a celebration at Hard Rock Café in Singapore. It was my very first visit to Hard Rock Café. Thanks to LaySan, Trina decided to place the reservation over there to celebrate LaySan last birthday as Single Lady!

The Nacho was a must-order. Besides the Nacho, we ordered a main course each. A total mistake we had made! There was a loud bell cried before we noticed two men standing on the chairs and introduced themselves. It appeared that they are birthday boys. Trina had informed the staffs during the reservation phone call that we are celebrating LaySan’s birthday. Both of us, Trina and I were stunned and were hoping LaySan will not have to be embarrassed by such action – forced standing on the chair and introduce herself.

Trina quickly retreated herself and made her way to find the staff in Hard Rock Café. She informed them not to make a show outta it when they are giving LaySan a surprise. Phew~

It was in between the live band performance when they announced the birthday girl’s name. At least LaySan was introduced by the live band, not the sudden bell alarm! LaySan was then, have to stand up and was presented a sundae and they even took a photo of her (with her husband-to-be) in the photo. The staffs in Hard Rock Café made the efforts to present the photo to her shortly. I very much like the service level in Hard Rock Café and would love to go there for Nacho (only).

Complaint Letter to Sony Ericsson

I bought a Sony Ericsson Satio phone on 13 November 2009. From the first day I start using the phone, there is no one day when the phone is working well without hang. The battery of the phone will get heated up so easily. Sometimes, after a call, the phone would not work. I can only use the phone for ten minutes before the battery started to heat up. After a few weeks, I surrendered and brought the phone to Sony Ericsson Service Centre at Wisma Atria. I was told that the phone would be required to update its software and memory card reformatted. And that the phone would be ready by the next day.

I was there the next day, ready to collect my phone. However, I was told that the phone is not ready for collection. I was surprised and at the same time, angry. There is no one who take the initiative to give me a call to inform me that the phone is not ready for collection. The Chinese lady at the counter was not aware that there is no one who contact me of the issue and informed me that they will courier the phone to me by next day afternoon. I waited patiently for my phone to arrive the next day, but to my disappointment (again), there is no courier from Sony Ericsson. I seriously start to doubt the service level from the organisation at that point. In the evening time, I decided to head down to Wisma Atria to 'try my luck'. Thanks goodness, the phone is ready for collection but there is no explanation on why there is no courier made in the afternoon. I decided not to pursue the matter since I already gotten my phone.

It was within two days, the problems on the phone occurred again.

I was only able to send it for service at Junction 8 on 20 January 2010 due to my hectic schedule. I was informed that the phone would require software update and memory card would be reformat as well. I was also told that memory on the card would be gone. I was astonished as I collected my phone on the previous occasion after I sent it for repair, the phone memory, smses, photos, songs and apps remain in the phone. It was like there is no software updated nor memory card reformatted. In addition, I received more information from another lady at the counter. I was able to check whether the phone is able to be collected via a website or give them a call. I was not told of this piece of information on the previous occasion when I sent it to repair at Wisma Atria. Staff at Wisma Atria had given me trouble by not telling me of such information!

Today, 21 January 2010, I went to the website and try to find whether I can collect the phone. Added to my disappointment, the result is that my phone is not ready for collection after I tried keying the job number a few times from the period of 1600hours to 1700hours. I then decided to call the number provided, and the answer was different from the website. Is the website just for show? When I went down to Junction 8 service centre, it was 1950hours. I was told by the staff, a bespectacled young lady that the collection ends at 1945hours. I asked her to check with her colleague whether they allow me to collect the phone.

However, I was rejected immediately even though I was late only 5 minutes. I was not even told by the staff that there is such a time constraint for collection of phone. The young lady did not even make the effort to ask her colleague or senior. I was told by her that there are many customers who are like me, and they want to be firm with the timing for collection of phone. I was utterly disappointed with the services which Sony Ericsson provided. As a customer, I would rather buy a phone with a good after-sale service than being serve with a selfish attitude. Through this incident, I am more determined that the phone from Sony Ericsson is not worth purchase.

Been telling myself not to be in the dance floor. Not because I had bad experience. It is due to my knee cap giving me problem, especially last year when I stopped taking glucosamine. So, this year, or rather, end of last year, I started to take the medicine, but not religiously. I regretted. Now, on and off, the pain is bothering me so much.

Now, I am deciding whether to take fish oil supplements. I would love to take if it can helps to reduce the pain on my knee. Guess what? I found an online forum where people were commenting that they experienced pain on their knees after taking the fish oil supplement. They never experienced such pain before they started to take the supplement. Isn’t it weird?

This Saturday is LaySan’s birthday party at Butter Factory. Darn.

Just got back from a dinner with a friend. He was telling me how much he wants to find a girlfriend to start a family. As one who dont believe much in marriage, I advised him that this mentality is not a good one. If one wants a girlfriend just to start a family, one can get his bride from anywhere, even the dating agency.

He rebut that he does not have any girlfriend because he have not find that right person. It is not that easy to find someone who has the same mentality with him - get into the relationship and plans for marriage (tombstone).

Friends around me know my negative mind on marriage. Of course I did not have that mentality from that very day I am born. Uncles getting divorced, cousin having affairs, friends (and I) got into relationships and broke up, and now, friends who got into marriage tombstone and now climbing outta it. How terrible and high rate of divorce is!

I am not trying to scare anyone with those facts I am facing.

Starting a family with this another person who does not share the same blood as you is like living under the roof with a stranger. You are just linked to the person via law. Now, someone will tell me that this very stranger is someone who connected with you via LOVE. How do you measure Love? How can you ensure this person is not going to break the contract and get involved with another person? He or she can simply violate the contract, cancelled it and sign another contract. And for you, you are left alone. How sad this scene gonna be?

I would rather not to undergo it the first place. Of course, your country will very much like to have the population growing to prevent aging population, where there are more old people to take care of than the young ones. However, can your country guarantee that this person who you intend to start a family with can love you wholeheartedly for the rest of your life? I doubt so.

There are more things in life than starting a family. One can contributes to the society by giving a helping hand to the less privileged, and not wasting time quarreling with someone who you think you love her or him. Speaking about quarrel, my friend added that he got involved with this girl who is attached. It is a bad move. She told him that she will leave her boyfriend. Sadly, this never happened. They quarreled. If she would to leave her boyfriend for my friend, I would believe she really loves him. But a year has passed. My friend is like an idiot, waiting for her. He still love her, but does she?

My dad is doing the dinner now. Of course, as a daughter, I am doing my very best to wait for my dinner to be ready. Over the weekend, I had spent over $300. I know I have to save, so I have to limit my spending for the rest of the month.

For breakfast, my mum will buy some food when she is on the way home from work (she is working night shift). As for my lunch, I would usually do away with it, or have instant noodles or porridge. Sometimes, when I am out for meetings, I would try to spend less than $5 for the meal. Dinner during weekday is simple. Either my mum or dad will do the cooking when I insisted. When Lionel is around, we will go out for the meal. The best meal I preferred is home cooked food.

To be continued. Dinner is ready.

My spending habit has changed tremendously over the years. From the little shopaholic back in school days, when I will buy at least one thing whenever I am not at home (which is like 6 days out of 7 days) to now, I will spend only on necessity. Definition of necessity in my opinion is things which I owed is not in the usable state. Though I still buy a top or two per month as compared to at least 4 tops per month, I am proud of my saving rate.

My brother was asking my family one day whether we wanna invest our dollars in Genting shares. I wanted to do so, but I was lazy to transfer the money to him. Guess what? The shares rises that very week. Despite so, I am not avid gambler. I do not want to invest my hard earned money on it. I am still a rigid and traditional person in saving money.
