I was rather surprised that YS has emailed and coordinated with Peter, the villa's manager about our arrival date. Really appreciate that he helped me with that since he is the one who is working and I am lazing at home. Now that we already booked a villa which is said to be 5 star, and our air tickets, I have to search around online to find the recommended gourmet and transportation. We are planning to drive around the island, and not forgetting boat trip to the nearby islands.
Oh yes, I almost forgotten to talk about this restaurant which YS and I tried yesterday. I heard about the raves of this restaurant from Esther. This restaurant - Taste of Paradise, situated at Ion Orchard, 4th floor is a Chinese restaurant. Since it is a treat from me, we had XO carrot cake which tastes like some char kway teow. As for the main dishes, we had superior shark's fin soup, roasted duck and pork, seafood fried rice and scallop with tofu. However, scallop with tofu did not turn up after the fried rice was served, so I cancelled the order and we were quite full by then. I find that the roasted duck and pork is a must have rather than the recommended shark's fin soup which is like $40 per bowl (it can be shared between two pax though). As for the seafood fried rice, we did not finish it. I find that the fried rice is not as tasty as the one at my uncle's restaurant.
Well, a total of $100 for the damage is reasonable for such restaurant at Ion for the sake of the roasted pork.
